Dear Fr. Chris and St. John’s parish family,

Thank you for hosting me once again and allowing me to share with you at greater length the mission of Morningstar Friends.  During my visit we had 6 lambs born, I hope that’s the correct terminology, at the parish in Nova Topola.  Just a few months ago we bought 6 sheep and the flock has already doubled!  We plan to keep some and sell others in order to meet expenses.  Thanks to your generosity we raised just over $4,000.00.  Those funds will help us develop our community farm and allow us to cover all other general operating expenses for the upcoming year.

One of the highlights of my visit was being able to partake in the Men’s Club Thanksgiving dinner on my last night in town.  Although for most present it was possibly the first of many upcoming holiday meals for me it was my one and only Thanksgiving dinner for the year.  I hope and pray that one day the people of Bosnia-Herzegovina will be able to share a common holiday such as Thanksgiving.  It offers all of us an opportunity to be mindful of all that God has given us, most especially His Son and our invitation to participate in the salvation of the whole world.

If you would like to keep up with the mission you can do so at morningstarfriends.org.  I do my best to provide weekly blogs.  I wish all of you a Blessed Advent and upcoming Christmas season.  Please be assured of my prayers.

Stay strong,

Fr. Angelo
